Gunbam Taryeong (군밤타령)
.jpg)
This is a joyous and popular Korean folk song taught to me by my friend Gamin, who plays piri and saenghwang on the track. The song is named after the delicious roasted chestnut, a popular and delicious street food in Korea. Its lyrics celebrate the chestnut, but also take us to snowy peaks, windy seas, and mountainsides. I’m joined by Kyungso Park and Vong Pak on vocals.
